We know Giovanni as a photographer of women: nudes and clothed portraits of intimate moments. He pays detailed attention to the form of the body, focused on the sexuality of women. His portraits are refreshingly strong and powerful representations of young women. Having graduated from the National School of Visual Arts, UNAM in 2004 and Escuela Activa de Fotografía (Active School of Photography) in 2002, he has received commercial success in the form of large advertising campaigns for companies like AeroMexico, Neutrogena, Crest, and Pepsi to name a few. His work continues to grace the pages of international publications of art and fashion. At the end of 2008, I started publishing my work in some NY magazines and my art gallery moved to NY from Miami.

Williamsburg, because most of my friends live there, and I think it’s a better place to meet people, more so than Manhattan.
Name a New York moment:
Staten Island Ferry, I always take it when I need some space and time to think.
How do you keep it Mex in the City?
Being around my Mexican friends and eating Mexican food as much as possible.

“You are not in New York to obtain something from the city, you are in NY to give all you have.”
